Description
My first build that is put together with only new parts with what I think is a healthy balance between performance, RGB, and value. Of course I'm not following any strict rules in pricing. I'm just grabbing what is readably available to me locally sourced. I am also keeping in mind of future upgrades I may want to pursue. not a vary ideal time to start a build; in a middle of a chip shortage. but this is going to be my dream computer hopefully.
Part Reviews
CPU
So Far So Good. ive been using this as my main board graphics and its holding its weight. at least until i can get a hold of a GPU. been using the stock cooler that came along with it and it hasn't got all that hot playing titles like mine craft and overwatch. (though it looks like potato.) for a base CPU that that if you are not into OC stuff this is the one.
CPU Cooler
it came with my CPU, it does its job even under pressure. good temporary until i can find a AIO that not 200 dollars
Motherboard
Got it for a decent price, has ARGB headers so it was ideal for my build. didn't have to really do much with drivers widows was able to auto detect and download right away. haven't come across any issues. if you are not interested in doing any major upgrading this is ideal for that purpose, it has just enough headers and ram slots for my intended use.
Memory
these are pretty Steller for the price. I cant say I know a whole lot about rams. but i dont see any issues with these so far. really bright and looks really nice RGB wave effects.
Storage
it take 10 seconds for my computer to boot. i don't really know what else to say.
Video Card
anyone that tells you this is an out dated card and its too "noisy", give em a punch in the head this card blows most games out of the park still. non the less this is a temporary card for my self until people stop trying to gauge me for a new gen. some would complain that you cannot power down the fans for what ever reason that is a problem, if you are wearing headphones it doesn't matter, apex runs with out a flinch so i will not complain.
Case
So far into my build, this has by far been the best bang for my buck. The LED strip mounted on front and included 120mm rear case fan look pretty stellar for the price I paid for, and are both ARGB. PLENTY of room for cable management, the PSU shroud hides my non modular mess in the back. And it holds all mobo form factors. The only con's I would say this has is the right panel is held on vary flimsy.UPDATE: Okay this was almost perfect. The included "ARGB" is not a standard 3 pin. it is a 2 pin and I cant find any way to convert it. not even antec's Prizm fan set controller has any headers like this. as it stands I am tossing the included 120mm fan because it is proprietary and has no speed control nor connect to my mobo. I don't see it lasting vary long either truth be told.
Power Supply
Not much to say about a basic PSU. Lots of connectors for SATA and what ever peripheral I may need. Wire cover's make it a bit tough to put in place, but once its in place it seems to take its form. I have some wire mods I am exploring to take care of the gross mustard and ketchup wiring and to combat the tough feeling of bending these wires. i also CANNOT hear the fan on this thing. its dead quite.
Operating System
Does anyone really pay full price for a key?
Case Fan
EDIT 1 Year: fans are still stable no signs of slowing down but the LED's are burning out which is a shame. will be replacing with new brand.
best bang for the buck, it comes with a control and the ARGB looks amazing, i had meant to order the 3+2 light strips but this turned out okay, it moves air vary well in my push/pull config
Keyboard
this is the coolest thing i have ever bought, the lights on this will give you a show. i dont like mech keyboards because of the feedback and the noise it makes. this gives me a nice membrane feel with the quite sounds of a mechanical. and fully programable keys makes good use of the FN key.
